Asteroid 2015 TG237 Passing by Barred Spiral Galaxy NGC 1365 thumbnail
23-Nov-2015
While looking through the data captured of NGC 1365, I discovered an object slowly moving through the field of view. I have identified the object as asteroid 2015 TG237, discovered just last month.

Test Shot of the Sculptor Galaxy thumbnail
10-Oct-2015
I was playing around with my camera binning modes in preparation for a dark sky trip next weekend, and ended up with this. Even though it's just a test shot, I think it turned out pretty well. New lesson learned; don't overexpose the stars.

NGC 1532 Tidal Tails thumbnail
25-Dec-2017
50 million light years away, NGC 1532 is slowly devouring one of its companion dwarf galaxies, NGC 1531. Large tidal tails from NGC 1532 are thrown outwards as the two galaxies interact. A number of other dwarf companion galaxies are also visible in the frame.

Hispania Passing NGC 5101. The Brightest Asteroid I've Ever Seen thumbnail
19-May-2016
Hispania (1915 WT) is the brightest asteroid I've ever seen. It's so bright, I had to remove it from each frame for plate solving to work. Also moving through the frame is another named asteroid: Geowilliams (1984 UL2)
